The 2021-22 school year welcomed a range of new staff members. With the return to in-person schooling, new staff members describe experiencing a multitude of positive situations regarding both teaching, learning and socializing within the MVHS community. Read more about these staff members here.

Meggie is currently a senior and a managing editor for El Estoque. During her free time she loves to read, listen to horror podcasts (because she’s too chicken to watch actual horror movies), and spend (frankly) too much time watching historical documentaries on Youtube.

Sophia Chen, Copy Editor

Sophia Chen is currently a senior and a copy editor on El Estoque. She enjoys running and playing basketball. In her free time, she watches YouTube. She recently started to listen to podcasts, including The Bright Sessions, Paradoxica, TANIS and The Magnus Archives.

Crystal Cheng, Opinion Editor

Crystal Cheng is currently a senior and an Opinion editor for El Estoque. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, annihilating Stardew Valley and bullet journaling.

Mikaylah Du, Design Editor

Mikaylah is currently a senior and a design editor for El Estoque. She is also an MV Debate officer and enjoys oil painting and reading in her free time.

Anna is currently a senior and staff writer for El Estoque. In addition to writing, she loves music, hiking with family and exploring new places with her friends.

Riya is currently a senior and a features editor for El Estoque. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, traveling, walking her dog and drinking Shirley Temples.

Jannah Sheriff, Features Editor

Jannah is currently a senior and features editor on El Estoque. In her free time, she enjoys sketching portraits, reading history books and listening to music.

Prisha Tiwari, Features Editor

Prisha Tiwari is currently a senior and a features editor for El Estoque. In her free time, she enjoys watching TV shows, going biking with her family, and traveling to new places.

Mira is a senior and a managing editor for El Estoque. She plays water polo and swims for MVHS as well as for club teams. She likes to read, hang out with friends and watch TV.

Matthew is currently a senior and managing editor for El Estoque. In his free time, he enjoys going on hikes at Rancho San Antonio, spending time with his family and friends, watching The Office and listening to music.
