The Matadors (6-3, 4-1) defended their helmet trophy with a 39-7 victory over the Cupertino Pioneers (2-7, 0-5) Nov. 4 following their 27-6 win last year in the annual Helmet Game rivalry. Junior Nathan Facciolla intercepted Cupertino quarterback junior Patrick Johnson twice, while running backs seniors Sam McCann and Jordan Sheade ran for three touchdowns each.
