n addition to the universal flavors in 2002, unami, meaning “a pleasant savory taste” in Japanese, is known for a meaty and savory tang that deepens flavor, found in protein-rich delights such as meats and tomatoes.   • ⅓ cup balsamic glaze
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 12 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 10-15 basil leaves (up to preference)
  • ⅓ cup olive oil (up to preference)


  1. Cut tomatoes into thick slices
  2. Cut mozzarella into thick slices
  3. Prepare toppings for use
  4. Arrange slices with basil leaves on platter
  5. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze on platter (decorative design optional)
  6. Enjoy!
