While not offered at MVHS, many students have pursued combat sports and martial arts on their own, climbing ranks to receive the highest belts and competing at national tournaments around the world.

Melody Cui, Managing and Business Editor

Melody Cui is currently a senior at MVHS and a managing and business editor for El Estoque. She enjoys watching YouTube videos and Twitch in her free time.

Andie Liu, Managing Editor

Andie is currently a senior and a managing editor for El Estoque. She runs on the track team and plays the erhu, a traditional Chinese instrument. To relax, she listens to violin and cello concertos while reading, drawing and attempting to meditate.

Riya Ravuri, Features editor

Riya is currently a senior and a features editor for El Estoque. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, traveling, walking her dog and drinking Shirley Temples.

Anjali Singh, Sports Editor

Anjali is currently a senior and a sports editor on El Estoque. She enjoys playing piano and spends a lot of time on Spotify listening to music. Anjali is passionate about journalism, social justice issues and she loves to travel — one day, she hopes to visit all the wonders of the world.

Hi! My name is Collin Qian and I am a third year staff member of El Estoque. In my free time, I enjoy relieving stress with video games, usually first person shooters, and I also enjoy hanging out with friends, whether that be virtually or in person.
