Students and parents from all five FUHSD schools gathered at Cupertino High School on March 18 to learn about internships and job opportunities. For the first time, MVFBLA partnered with Bay Area Youth Career Opportunities (BAYCO) to host a job fair. Companies and organizations like Quarter Zero and Smitten’s Ice Cream set up booths, where they explained their open positions, informed attendees of the skills they were looking for and recruited high school students for summer jobs and internships. Furthermore, MVFBLA held a resume workshop where students learned the necessary information to include, as well as tips on improving readability, through a PowerPoint presentation led by FUHSD Executive Board Member and career coach Sanusi Tandun.
