Mercutio rushes on stage, drawing his saber and immediately attacking Tybalt. Swords clash and clang until Tybalt gains the advantage, drawing his sword upward and killing Mercutio. This was just one of many battle scenes in MVHS Drama’s annual production of Romeo and Juliet.
Through countless hours and days of training, the actors of Romeo and Juliet have had a lot to do, from costuming to simply acting. But one of the hardest requirements to fulfill for this production was stage fighting, but through many practices, by performance day, they were ready.
