After NEHS vice president and junior Cindy Zheng explained that members would be writing and sending letters to Santa through Macy’s Make-A-Wish Believe Campaign, members quickly pulled out their laptops to begin typing their letters.

Lively discussion erupted in room C204 during the National English Honor Society meeting on Dec. 1 as members discussed what to include in their letters. Some opted for a lighthearted tone, such as asking Santa to divulge his secrets and inquiring about his travels at the speed of light.

Others, like sophomore Nyan Kim’s letter, took on a more serious tone.

Members were able to take a break in the middle to enjoy some holiday drinks. Following the instructions, club president and senior Sabrina Zhai wrote on the board, members combined cream soda, caramel syrup, vanilla ice cream and cool whip to create their frothy drink.

Although the club officers didn’t personally partake in the Letters to Santa during the meeting, take a look at the infographic below to see what they would include in their letters to Santa.
