Every summer since she was five-years-old, junior Stephanie Mullen would visit her dad’s side of the family in Pennsylvania. Her grandmother, an enthusiastic baker, would ask Mullen to help out around the kitchen. Among the pies, sauces and cookies, gingersnaps were Grandma Mullen’s signature dessert, a recipe passed down for generations.
