“Lifting without music?” they said. “You know how hard that would be?”

Sophomore twin football and baseball players Josh and Kaleb Chung enjoy listening to a wide variety of music during conditioning and workout sessions. From Katy Perry and Fetty Wap all the way to Tupac, these twins are always on the lookout for songs that get them pumped up.

“You need to get fire pumping through your veins so you can push through the weights,” Kaleb said. “There’s no motivation without music.”

The Chung brothers also take motivation from their music before scrimmages, practices and games.

The most important component of the wide variety of songs they listen to are the lyrics, which energize the pair when working out. Songs such as Eminem’s “Till I Collapse” inspire the twins to “work until you collapse.”

Joshua and Kaleb have developed similar tastes in music after spending much of their lives together. Even today, the two continue to work out together, play the same sports and listen to the same songs.

“He copies everything I do,” Kaleb said.

“That’s not true,” Josh said.  “That’s so not true.”
