The Ritards
The self-run group, founded in 2004, is composed of seven members who attend different high schools in the Bay Area. They performed many Christmas and classic songs at their annual concert in Santana Row on Nov. 25. Photo by Karishma Mehrotra.

 

On Nov. 25, high school vocal ensemble The Ritards performed its annual concert at Santana Row from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.. The a capella group showcased an array of Christmas and classic songs to a large audience on Black Friday, including “Yesterday” by the Beatles and “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”

The self-run group, founded in 2004, is composed of seven members: senior Brandon Chen from Mission San Jose High School, junior Vincent Yao from Harker High School, freshman Jonathan Xu from Saint Francis High School, sophomore Kevin Jan from Cupertino High School, sophomore Eric Wu from Lynbrook High School, freshman Anderson Ju from Lynbrook High School, and junior Eric Liu from MVHS. According to its Facebook page, “The Ritards have one goal: to put a smile on your face.”

Correction 11/27/11: There are seven members in The Ritards.
