Like several other seniors, when the time came, senior Sharon Zhu had to sift through her college acceptance letters and make the decision as to what school she would attend for the next for years. While cost, academic standards, and resources were all important factors in her decision, the deciding factor for Zhu came from her family and business at home. After weighing all her options, Zhu decided that being there for her family of four children (and a fifth arriving very soon) and her business of piano tutoring were more important than going to a better university that was farther away. Zhu made her decision to attend the University of California at Davis this fall to study Economics.
