After the first club day of the 2010-2011 school year, sophomores Michelle Plouse and Karina Schuler looked for the Gay Straight Alliance that had existed on campus until its dispersal at the end of the 2009-2010 school year—but they could not find it. Disconcerted, they gathered other students and approached teacher Joyce Fortune to be their advisor. Video by Kevin Tsukii.
