French Honor Society is hosting this Friday’s debate
On Friday, Nov. 20, French Honor Society will be holding this year’s first French debate. Started last year, the debates —spoken solely in French —garnered much attention, as they were held between MVHS students and students from Lynbrook, Saratoga and German International School. Tomorrow’s debate is open only to French 3, 4 and 5 to participate, but students from all French levels are invited to listen.
There will be three topics of debate: whether or not gay marriage should be legalized in the United States, whether marijuana should be legalized in California, and whether the United States should dedicate money towards clean energy and nuclear energy, given such an unstable economy.
The debate will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in room A201.
