Oreos are popular snacks for curbing sugar cravings or sharing with friends. The sweet cream filling sandwiched between two chocolate cookies is immediately recognizable among students. With over $2 billion in annual sales, Oreos have secured their place as the world’s most popular cookie and have been a staple of American junk food since their release in 1912. In the past few months, Nabisco released five new varieties of the beloved Oreo sandwich cookies, including Carrot Cake, Most Stuf, Dark Chocolate, Winter, Pistachio and Love Oreos. We asked four students to share their thoughts on these new flavors.

Hannah Lee is a senior at MVHS and the co-Editor-in-chief. She enjoys listening to music, trying new dessert places and pursuing business ventures.

Emily Xia, Managing Editor

Emily Xia is currently a managing editor in both journalism classes. She spends her time on El Estoque writing stories, designing pages and creating graphics. Outside of school, she enjoys drinking boba and practicing color guard.

Ayah Ali-Ahmad, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Ayah Ali-Ahmad is the co-Editor-in-Chief of El Estoque. Outside of El Estoque, she is the President for Gender-Sexuality Alliance club and the Senior Director of Communications for MVHS's largest volunteering club, Octagon. In her free time away from her school life, she enjoys listening to music and getting boba with friends.

Gauri Kaushik, Managing Editor

Gauri Kaushik is a managing editor on staff and has served previously as a News editor. In her free time, she enjoys rereading Harry Potter and going to the park with her dog Jackie.
