Korean Club officers file into the classroom, holding a stack of three boxes. On the outside of each colorful box, “Oh Yes!” is printed in large, bold font. Oh Yes! is a confectionery created by Haitai, and is a soft chocolate cake that was released in 1984. Even now, it’s one of South Korea’s most popular snacks, with its custard-like flavored layers sandwiched between two sponge cake layers. To acknowledge Oh Yes! and Haitai’s success and acquaint attendees with this common South Korean snack, the Korean Club even had a blind taste test.
