Putting positivity into practice

Exploring how people incorporate positivity in their daily life

This is how senior Elika Hashemi describes her outlook on life, likening herself to this metal detector and reminding herself to actively search for these “little nuggets” of good in her life.

Hashemi will routinely reflect in her planner, where she catalogs positive occurrences from each week. While Hashemi writes down these weekly reflections, others have their own unique routines to incorporate positivity in their lives — chemistry teacher Elizabeth McCracken, for example, uses a daily gratitude journal and sophomore Reva Lalwani films weekly video diaries.
