Suicide, depression, bullying and sexual assault is ultimately how “13 Reasons Why” found itself in the spotlight of the entertainment industry, attracting a mix of both positive and negative perspectives over the way these topics were portrayed. The show focuses on a girl named Hannah Baker who suffered from depression and was bullied to the point of committing suicide. Her reasons for suicide were then recorded on a series of tapes that were given to 13 specific people.
