A Wrestless day: A day in the life of a wrestler

Their food has been digested, their weigh-ins are complete, and adrenaline pumps through their veins. The referee lays on his stomach, transitioning back and forth as the wrestlers struggle to pin each others shoulders to the mat. He blows the whistle and the match is over. The MVHS wrestling team competed at Fremont HS on february 15 with one major goal in mind: making the CCS meet. Sophomores Peter Heydinger and Anish Ramachandran talk about how they deal with the day of a wrestling match including weight management, goals for their upcoming matches, preparation, and special diet obligations for weigh-ins.
