Eight students proceed to California State Fair after winning at regional science competition.
The students in science teacher Renee Fallon’s Independent STEM Research class have been working on projects throughout the year, all culminating in one event: the Synopsys Championship on March 13. This year, 24 students — participating both through the class and through private sponsors — competed and won 46 awards (certificates of achievements and awards in their category) collectively. Eight of these students qualified for the California State Fair, which will be held from April 15 to 16 in Los Angeles. Mouse over the image below to learn about a few of the experiments conducted by students who participated in the Synopsys Championship and won various awards.
