DEVELOPING: Sunnyvale schools locked down during possible gunman search

Homestead High School, Cupertino Middle School, West Valley Elementary schools affected on Jan. 25.

News is now breaking that the initial reports of a possible gunman at Cupertino Middle School are believed to be false. 
BREAKING 12:35p UPDATE: Search is shutting down. New info indicates gunman was fabricated.City of Sunnyvale
Info given this morning regarding poss. gunman at CMS is believed to be false. Police are standing down search and resuming normal duties.City of Cupertino
At 11:48 a.m., the official City of Sunnyvale Twitter account confirmed that Homestead High School had been taken down to a Code Blue. As of 12:30 a.m., police were still at Cupertino Middle School.

You may have heard that Cupertino Middle School in Sunnyvale has been locked down following a report of a man with a gun. West Valley Elementary and Homestead High schools have been locked down as well. De Anza College is operating normally and is in no danger, according to Foothill-De Anza Police.De Anza College
Local residents and students reacted on Twitter; many reflecting on the police activity coming so soon after the Monta Vista High School bomb threat in December.
So Cupertino middle is on lockdown and so is homestead high. This is like the 6th lock down in this district during 2012-13 smdfhأمل
