The international phenomenon that grew with us throughout our childhood and grabbed the hearts of children all around the world is now at MVHS.

Ever since the first “Harry Potter” book was released in 1997, thousands have devoted their attention to the trio that dominated the world of wizardry. Senior Rachel Beck, founder of the “Potter-inspired” club Dumbledore’s Army (DA) is a dedicated fan of Harry Potter. The DA isn’t about what will make your college application look good—it is about students bonding over a common interest.

“Dumbledore’s Army is very different in that it is for fun, and only fun, unlike many of the other clubs on campus,” Beck said.

The Horcrux Hunt on Oct. 8 attracted people from all corners of campus, from volleyball players to the drama tech crew. As they ran around campus doing obscure tasks for the officers, they worked together like a family, helping each other out with various trivia questions and chanting their house song.

DA is the group of quirky young adults that enjoy reading and coming together to share their love for “Harry Potter”.They aren’t quite your normal bunch, but they are unique and carry their own charm.
