The annual Back to School Night for parents was held on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. Parents trickled onto the campus starting at 6:30 p.m., heading towards the academic or rally court to pick up schedules—just as their children had done on the first day of school. As the ringing of the bell signified the start of first period, hundreds of parents traversed the campus, schedules in hand, scrambling to find their children’s classrooms. Even with the assistance of Link leaders in bright yellow shirts, many parents still found themselves disoriented by the layout of buildings and classrooms. El Estoque shadows the experience of one parent as she goes from classroom to classroom.
