Following an argument with friends, senior Clara Takahashi turns on her favorite playlist as she drives along a familiar route. Driving for Takahashi offers a relief and an opportunity for her to think about events that occur in her daily life. She notices that she is able to rationalize her feelings and find solutions while she spends time alone in her car.

“I feel like when you’re alone by yourself in the car, it’s just you and nobody can interrupt that,” Takahashi said. “I have time to think things through and really feel the things I’m feeling without being pressured by other people.”
