Why students took part in the Day of Silence

Students write down their reasons for participating in the Day of Silence

The Day of Silence is the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network’s, annual day of action to combat the censoring and erasure of LGBTQI+ people at school. This year, it took place on April 12. Across campus, students from different grades and backgrounds chose to participate for their own individual reasons. When asked to write down these reasons, their responses are pictured below.
