On November 18th, a clear night, MVHS Astro trekked out into the darkness for the second time in the year to stargaze. Co-presidents and juniors Christian Chiong and Eric Yang led a group of six students to Montebello Road to observe the night sky. They taught members strategies to identify constellations and how to examine the stars through different telescopes. Students looked through two different telescopes, equatorial and altitude-azimuth to look for constellations like Pegasus and Andromeda, important stars, and deep sky objects (DSOs). Look below to see astrophotography that MV Astro has taken during stargazing.
