Outside the auditorium on November 10, a huddle of middle schoolers waited excitedly for the doors of the MVHS auditorium to open. Screams of happiness and curiosity filled the air, and high schoolers looked on in bewilderment.
But inside the auditorium there was silence. The sound of metal hitting metal rang through the empty room as swords clashed on stage. The silence returned, followed by a chorus of mixed voices, rushing across the stage to quickly set up for the next scene to make sure everything is exactly the way it should be.
And then it was showtime.
As the MVHS theatre department readied themselves inside, middle schoolers in Kennedy’s drama department, Fame, made their way into the theatre, rushing to find a seat. Eventually they all found themselves in the center column, and the curtain rose. The room returned to silence once again and the play began.
