Football:
The MVHS football team carries a 3-3 overall record with a 1-1 record in league. Despite the recent air quality and the rescheduling of the homecoming game, the team scopes for a win against Gunn HS at home on Oct. 20. The team is facing some struggles with injury as junior Jonah Ji is not able to play as he suffers a hand injury.
Girls Volleyball:
With a 2-7 conference record and a 9-10 in league record the MVHS girls volleyball team struggles as they compete in the upper division.
Field Hockey:
The MVHS field hockey team has a record of 6-8-1 overall and a 1-5-1 record in league. Despite this, the team’s spirit remains strong as they take on Los Altos HS on Oct. 18.
Girls Tennis:
The hope for CCS remains in question. Being in one of the tougher leagues in state, the MVHS girls tennis team has an overall record of 8-10 and a record of 5-6 in league. The team hopes to keep their goals for CCS as they take on Homestead HS on Oct. 18.
Girls Water Polo:
The new coach Chris Love has led the MVHS girls water polo team to a strong record of 10-3 in conference and 11-4 overall. The team hopes to win out the rest of their games for the season for a shot at CCS.
Boys Water Polo:
The MVHS boys water polo team lets go of their hopes of CCS this year as they carry a 1-16 overall record and a 0-12 record in league. The team stands at last place but hopes to build off of their recent success in their win against Harker HS.
