In almost every arcade, carnival and school events is what looks like a covered box with only a camera and a screen. After some snaps, the box ejects strips of photos.
Photo booths were often used by MV Photo Club this year during events like the drama department’s Winter Fair and during spirit weeks.
Its camera is attached to stand which is perfectly timed with a program and an iPad screen that takes four pictures within five second intervals. A marker is placed on the floor precisely where the camera focuses manually for a clear picture. Club president and sophomore Pallavi Komma is in charge of moving the photo booth to certain school events and local mixers.
“We thought it would be nicer to have a physical copy [of a photo],” Komma said. “That’s also something that a lot of high schoolers find nice to have, as a keepsake.”
