39,250,017. As of 2016, almost 40 million people reside in California. And as of 2017, almost 2.3 million of those residents attend community college in California. A college education is becoming pervasive in today’s workforce so much so that students have to find financially viable and academically strong schools in which to receive their educations. Just as with traditional four year universities, community colleges carry a reputation. But, the following statistics show that the benefits and demerits of attending well-known California community colleges depend on factors that may not be realistically portrayed.
