Word on the Street: FOB

Vivian Chiang

The word remains in our culture, stereotyping and labeling mass amounts of people. The acronym ‘FOB’ represents the term ‘Fresh Off the Boat,” meaning someone who is new to an area and has yet to conform to the new culture. Most MVHS students are familiar with the word, while others remain ignorant to the phrase.

Watch a group of students react to the word FOB.
