While warming up, the MVHS boys water polo team looked comfortable in anticipation of their first home game of the season. They warmed up as they usually do, casually passing the ball among themselves, and by the time they moved into the court to practice with the goals, they were hurling the balls past the goalie and into the net. Even though seniors, juniors and sophomores were in the pool all at once, there was no doubt whether or not this young team could work together. Although their first home game was a 9-7 loss to Palo Alto HS, it was still a game worth remembering.
