The word “summer” brings images of childhood: ice cream, swimming, vacation. But for many MVHS students and others throughout the U.S., summer also means the start of college applications. One of the key differences for applicants from the class of 2017 onwards, however, is that the UC application now encompasses eight separate prompts, four of which students can select and respond to. In the past, there were simply two mandatory prompts. Now with these changes in mind, students present their opinions on the new system.
