Spark notes, Slader, Google. Whether it’s because it’s 2 a.m and they haven’t done their reading assignment or because they didn’t understand the material, many students have used these and other websites to help them with their homework. Some are helpful, but what students often don’t realize is that the use of certain website and applications could be considered cheating. However, the line between cheating and using resources is sometimes a hard one to distinguish. To show just how subjective this line can be, three students share their opinions on whether some commonly used websites should be considered cheating.
