Among the core subjects at MVHS (Science, Math, History, Literature), there are a total of 15 AP and Honors courses. Algebra 2/Trigonometry is not one of them. Year in and year out, students talk about how Algebra 2/Trigonometry may be one of the most challenging math courses at MVHS. Yet, despite its level of difficulty, the course lacks that ever-so-important Honors label next to its title. In other words, students don’t get honors credit for taking a difficult course. So should Algebra 2 Trig become an Honors course?
