The novels that we’re taught in school shine as examples of classic literature: “To Kill A Mockingbird”, “The Great Gatsby” and “Of Mice and Men”, to name a few. While our teachers are certainly fans of these books, not all of their favorites make the cut into the curriculum. We explore MVHS teachers’ favorite high school books outside of the ones they teach, starting with Mythology teacher Shannon Hoopes.
