A mob of people stood outside of the auditorium on May 26 waiting for the doors to open. When they finally did at 7 p.m., about 100 students, teachers and parents filed in to watch sophomores from World Studies present their top seven finalized documentaries. The documentaries, which students had been working on for three weeks, all had the same purpose — raising public awareness about the atrocities that are still occurring world wide. Topics ranged from women’s rights to factory labor to child slavery and more. The winning documentary from the film festival was created by sophomores Rohan Iyer, Joseph Kuo, Junsung Park and Ansell Yuen. Here are the contestants’ films.
