Microfinance, a fairly new club on campus, built up recognition as they held their second annual Cultural Night on April 25 at 6 p.m.. Support from KIVA Labs gave way to their introduction of the concept of Microfinance, followed by several performers and speakers.
Junior Vanessa Qin and sophomore Linda Yao from Lynbrook High spoke about Simple Wardrobe, a clothing website they created, as well as the profits they used to invest into small business around the world. From junior Sirina Law’s On Pointe British Ballet, to Homestead Krew, MV Bollywood, Bhangraas, and seniors Michael Ligier and Andy Wang’s violin duet, several other acts helped increase the cultural aspect of the night.
