Every year MVHS’s Octagon Club hosts the Cure Cancer Cafe, an event that raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Cancer Society. This year the semi-formal event, held at the Quinlan Community Center on Mar. 21, featured fine dining and acts including several singers and dancers along with a guest speaker — senior Lavanya Rajpal. Rajpal spoke about her experiences being a Leukemia cancer survivor and her journey battling the disease. Click the photo gallery below to see pictures from the night.
