The Matadors lost to their rival, the Cupertino High School Pioneers on Jan. 20, 51-35. The leader scorer of the game was the Pioneers’ Ajaypal Singh with 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting. The Matadors were knocked out of playoff contention with the loss, finishing the season 8-16 overall and 5-7 in league.
