In the first five minutes, the Harker Eagles established their lead with three goals. Seniors Kylie Constant and Gayathri Ketavarapu scored goals for MVHS in the last two minutes of first period, but the Eagles remained in lead. During the second period, the Eagles kept possession of the ball. With strong defense, the Eagles kept MVHS from scoring and maintained their lead, with a score of 6-2. The game changed the third period. Senior Samantha Quevedo and Constant each scored goals and the team’s defense improved dramatically. After a timeout, the Eagles came back strong, taking the lead with a score of 8-5. Ultimately, the Eagles won 10-5. Despite their performance, the Lady Matadors believe they have improved this season. Though the seniors believed they could have played better this game, the ceremony at the game was, in their opinion, better than any other year’s. Check out their senior recognition night.
