MVHS had one of its best seasons last year, winning the league and qualifying for CCS. Though the Matadors were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, last season’s performance was much better than those in previous years. And though MVHS has lost some key players through graduation, the team has started off on the right track, winning 20-18 at Alameda High School last week. This week they face the Fremont Firebirds, who were MVHS’ opponent in the Matadors’ homecoming game last year. And a year after that 42-8 blowout, MVHS hopes to carry that momentum over to this season’s matchup.
The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. and you can catch the coverage live right here.
