Junior Lavanya Rajpal has battled cancer twice, and won.

In the middle of her sophomore year at MVHS, she was diagnosed a second time with a particular strand of cancer known as Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After battling the disease for more than a year, Rajpal is finally recovering.

Now, Rajpal seeks to raise a profit of $10,000 through fundraising events with the hope of helping Dr. Gary Dahl, senior doctor in LPCH and principal consulting oncologist, to find a cure to cancer. Although she knows it will be difficult, her dream is that a cure-all pill that can ameliorate any strand of cancer can be discovered one day.
