After losing 14 graduating seniors, junior co-captain Brad Ohadi and the other returning memebers were anxious about the 2013-14 season. Due to an injury, Ohadi was unable to practice with the team during tryouts and instead adopted more of a coaching role, assisting Head Coach Pooya Hajjarian and Assistant Coach Bobak Ohadi with the tryouts. Last season, Bobak was a co-captain and the go-to-guy on the team. This year, Brad wanted to be in that same position, and his teammates expected him to be the go-to-guy. Brad ended up breaking the scoring record for MVHS, the Matadors moved up a division and came within two points of making CCS.
“On that first day of tryouts, if someone had told me we would end the season in second place, I would have taken that any day,” Brad said.
