Freshmen explore their new territory with mixed emotions — anxiety, anticipation and excitement.
The Class of 2017 had its first taste of MVHS at Running of the Bulls on Aug. 13. Consequently, El Estoque asked 50 incoming freshmen how they feel about starting their first year of high school. While some freshmen fear that rumors about competition and piles of school work will prove to be true, others step onto the campus with much anticipation.
“I am looking forward to getting more freedom,” freshman Rachel Zhou said. “I think I will be able to get into a lot of new things and find out what I really want to do in the future.”
