On the first of August, Infinite Campus, the website that MVHS uses to formulate students’ schedules, temporarily posted schedules and teachers for the upcoming school year. However, only some students were able to log in to the website, and many were uninformed of the leak. The schedules were taken down 20 hours later. Here’s how MVHS students reacted to the leak.
Access
Not all students were able to access their leaked schedules using Infinite Campus. Many were locked out of the system because they had forgotten their passwords, while some didn’t get the opportunity to check because the schedules were up for such a short amount of time. Still others were simply not informed of the leak.
Reactions
Students’ reactions to the Infinite Campus leak varied greatly. Mostly those who had the opportunity to view their schedules early were glad the leak occurred, while the great majority of those who were unable to view their schedules felt that the whole situation was unfair. Still others did not have a strong opinion on the topic.
Schedule changes
One of the main concerns of those who wanted to view their schedules was the ability to find out who their teachers were. Unlike the schedule that is mailed out, only the infinite campus leak provided information on teachers as well as classes. For this reason, the Infinite Campus leak affected some students decisions concerning schedule changes.
