The Sunnyvale Art Gallery displays student artwork from April 30 to May 14
Photography, sculptures, and paintings are just a few of the works being displayed in the annual Art Showcase from April 30 to May 14 at the Sunnyvale Art Gallery. MVHS and the four other high schools in the district are displaying 60 pieces created by the students. The ROP classes also brought in their graphic art pieces for the show.
50 students will be recognized for their creations on May 5 at the awards reception in categories such as “Best 2D” and “Best in the School.” The artists will also have a chance to answer questions and talk about their artwork.
“It’s our annual showcase to show everyone all the hard work that art students in the FUHSD district have been doing the whole year,” senior Art 4 student Yuting Shao said. “If you’ve seen the advertisements, it’s being touted as the art equivalent to a basketball final game, the Music department’s Spring Concert, and the like.”
The showcase will be open to the community from April 30 to May 14 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
