MV Robotics director of engineering senior Karthik Kumaravel explains the basics of build season. MVRT will participate in the first regional competition of the year on March 18 to March 19 in Seattle.




Jan. 8 marked the kickoff for the MV Robotics build season, a 45-day period for the team to design and construct robots for competition. The team of more than 100 members will leave for its first regional competition in Seattle, from March 18 to March 19. Having qualified for Nationals every year since 2008, the team hopes to continue the streak.
