Dreaming is easy, but fulfilling it is not breezy. Senior Revati Dhomse woke up one morning and knew she wanted to direct for the rest of her life. She recently showcased her talent in January with the play “Angels in America,” originally written by Tony Kushner.
“One of the main themes is ‘change’ in the play, and I found that it related a lot to my life,” Dhomse said.
A change in her life may be an understatement. Dhomse was living in India until she moved back to California—without her parents—in order to fulfill her dreams of directing.
“I like how [directing] can portray my artistic vision. I’m a person who thinks in pictures, so this is the best way for me to get my voice heard,” Dhomse said.
Her willingness to leave her family and pursue her dreams only shows her true dedication to directing.
