On Feb. 18th at 3 p.m., principal April Scott initiated the memorial services for the late coach and teacher Ron Freeman.
Alumni, students, parents and all members of the community were invited to attend. Attendees filled bleachers on both sides of the gym and all 300 chairs in the middle.
Speakers ranged from class of 2003 alumni Guy Ravey who flew in from Iraq to pay his respects to varsity water polo player senior Alex Bagdasarian. In between speeches, Variations performed “Wicked’s” “For Good” and “Rent’s” “Seasons of Love”.
After the memorial, attendees visited the pool deck, now named The Ron Freeman Aquatic Center, and stopped by the cafeteria for refreshments provided by MV Athletic Boosters.
