School, community say goodbye to longtime coach and teacher, Ron Freeman

A memorial service for coach and teacher Ron Freeman took place in the gym on Feb. 18. Hundreds gathered to honor his memory.
Freeman died on Jan. 21 at the age of 52. He had been a mentor at MVHS for almost 30 years as a water polo and swimming coach and a history and physical education teacher. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Miriam and Ken Clark, his brothers Richard, Dean, John, and Wayne Freeman, and his sister Cathleen Bridenstein.
The family requests that donations be made to the Ron Freeman Aquatic Fund in lieu of flowers. Donations can be made to MVHS ASB/Ron Freeman Aquatics.
